With Mother’s Day just around the corner, we wanted to celebrate a special bond found right here on our fairways. Meet the powerhouse mother son duo, Erica and William Quinton!
Golf has been the heartbeat of their relationship for as long as William can remember. Erica isn't just a mum on the sidelines; she is a PGA Associate and Golf Coach at both Glen Waverley and Oakleigh Golf Courses. As a former Australian Tour Player and seasoned PGA Professional, Erica has been William’s coach since he was big enough to hold a club.
Today, William is a dedicated member of the Glen Waverley Golf Course and Club, often seen putting his mum's expert advice into practice. While Erica still holds the title of "family champion" on the scorecard, the gap is closing fast! We hear it won't be long before William finally gives his coach a run for her money.
Their story is a beautiful reminder that golf is more than just a sport, it’s a way to connect across generations, share a laugh, and build a lifelong bond.
